INFORMATIONAL MEETING FOR PARENTS OF SPECIAL-NEEDS CHILDREN: WED., NOV. 15, 6PM

What community supports and state-based services are available for special-needs children and their families? How do you navigate adult services for your special needs youth? What is the state eligibility criteria for support services? When is the right time to apply for adult services?

To answer to these and other, related questions, Minisink Valley’s Pupil Personnel Services and Special Education is hosting a parent meeting on Wednesday, Nov. 15, at 6 p.m., in the high school library.

Heather Rajnert, an education advocate with Independent Living, will present and moderate a question-answer period. Independent Living works to maximize the potential of persons with disabilities and enhance their quality of life.
