Joining fellow Key Club members from across the state, eight Minisink Valley students participated in the annual Leadership Training Conference (LTC) in Albany, March 23-25.

The three-day conference is a celebration of yet another year of service and involves workshops, networking and social events, as well as district elections and the welcoming of new officers. Students learned about a variety of topics, from the college application process, to effective leadership and public speaking.

Congratulations to MVHS 2018-2019 Key Club officers: Sarah Cerutti, president; Julia Ratynski, vice president; Kaitlin LoSauro, secretary; Valerie Moore, treasurer; Matthew Peifer, webmaster.

Congratulations to Trisha Melton, elected by the entire New York District Key Club as the new statewide secretary. Other members in attendance were Ramon Irazzary, Jack McDaid, and Abigail Povill.

One student’s experience at LTC...

“This was my second year attending LTC, and once again it did not fail to impress. I was surrounded by extraordinary kids with the same goals and interests. Everyone there was passionate about the club, inspiring anyone who enters to want to be more involved. Last year I arrived at LTC not knowing much about the club. I was unaware of how big it really is, and how much potential it has. It inspired me to run for secretary the first time I attended, and this time it inspired me to be the best secretary I can be. It was an amazing experience and I cannot wait to attend next year!” — Katlin Losauro, Key Club secretary.
