Fingerprint Requirement

New York State Law now requires that all employees new to the district must be fingerprinted. Please note, there is a $99.00 non-refundable, fee for this service. You can contact Morpho Trust by going to their website at www.identogo.com and clicking New York State on the map for further directions or by calling (877) 472-6915. Morpho Trust may ask you for an ORI number which will be the letters
T E A C H. If you have previous fingerprint clearance in the New York state public school district system please provide appropriate documentation to Minisink Valley Human Resource department.

Instructional Positions:

Instructional Specialist/Coach (2) + (1) ANTICIPATED

An Instructional Specialist/Coach promotes integration of 21st Century skills throughout the curriculum at all grade levels and subject areas.  The Instructional Specialist's/Coach's role is to support innovative classroom instructional practices through the implementation of educational technology skills and quality learning practices for all members of the Minisink Valley CSD learning community.  The Instructional Specialists/Coaches will report to the Supervisor of Professional Development. 

The optimal candidate will be able to:

  • Demonstrate exemplary classroom practice and possesses a deep understanding of technology integration and quality learning principles
  • Implement leadership and collaboration skills through coaching techniques
  • Demonstrate the qualities of a skilled listener, relationship builder, and critical thinker
  • Provide instructional strategies and resources consistent with current research, NYS and ISTE standards, and best practices and district initiatives
  • Mediate teacher thinking and reflection for self-directed learning as well as personal and professional growth
  • Demonstrate passion for working with all learners
  • Seek out opportunities to collaborate and coordinate work with all members of the MV school community

Must be a certified NYS teacher for consideration
