Today is a "B" day



Reminder:  School will be closed tomorrow, May 24th and will re-open on Tuesday, May 28th.



Drama Club Cast/Crew Party:  The pizza party for the cast and crew of "Once Upon a Mattress" will be after school today in room 138 until 4 pm.


FALL SPORTS SIGN UPS
are now on the bulletin board by the Phys Ed offices.  Fall sports for current 8th graders going to the High School in September include Freshman Football, Boys Soccer, Girls Soccer, Boys Cross Country, Girls Cross Country, Volleyball, Cheerleading, Girls Tennis and Girls Swimming.  Current 6th and 7th Graders may sign up for fall modified sports which include Boys Soccer, Girls Soccer and Volleyball.   If you are interested in trying out for any of these sports, you should sign up and get a permission slip.  All permission slips need to be returned to the Nurse as soon as possible.

There is NO Builders Club meeting today.  The last Builders Club meeting of the year will be next Wednesday, May 29th.

Mandatory Cheerleading meeting  There will be a mandatory meeting tomorrow immediately after school in the high school auxillary for students entering 8th grade in the Fall who are interested in trying out for JV Cheerleading. All students trying out must have their permission slip in and an up to date physical to be eligible to tryout.  Please see the school nurse for a permission slip and physical information.  You will need a note from a parent giving you permission to take the bus to the high school at the end of the day.  Please bring your note to Mrs. Monto in the main office at the beginning of the school day on Wednesday.

There will be a School Dance on Friday, May 3rd from 6 - 8 pm.  Students from 6, 7 and 8th grade who attend Minisink Valley Middle School are invited to attend.  All school rules apply.  Tickets will be on sale on today and tomorrow during lunch periods for $5.  You must purchase your dance ticket at school and bring your signed permission slip/dance ticket with you for admission to the dance.  Tickets will NOT be available for sale at the door.  Refreshments will be available for purchase.  Please bring small bills for spending at the concession stand.


Dance photos
will be available for purchase during the dance on Friday.  Each photo will cost $3 and you will receive 2 4x6 copies.  Each additional copy will cost $1.50.

Today is a "B" day


IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT REGARDING ELECTRONICS DURING TESTING:  This week Math State Assessments will continue on Friday.  Please remember to get a good night's rest and to eat a healthy breakfast.  Also remember that you may not have any electronic devices of any kind with  you in the testing room.  Items such as cell phones and Ipods must either be left home or left in your locker.  If you leave it in your locker, you must remember to lock your locker.  Any electronic items that are brought into the testing room will be confiscated and will invalidate your test.

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT REGARDING ELECTRONICS DURING TESTING:  This week Math State Assessments will continue on Thursday and Friday.  Please remember to get a good night's rest and to eat a healthy breakfast.  Also remember that you may not have any electronic devices of any kind with  you in the testing room.  Items such as cell phones and Ipods must either be left home or left in your locker.  If you leave it in your locker, you must remember to lock your locker.  Any electronic items that are brought into the testing room will be confiscated and will invalidate your test.

Pet Club:  The Pet Club will meet today after school in room 227.  Plan to take the 3:15 bus or arrange for a ride at 3:15 on Wednesday if you plan to attend.


Builders Club:  The Builders Club will be meeting today after school.  Meet in the Middle School Library and then we will be going down to the High School to garden the 9/11 memorial.  Please bring gardening gloves, signed permission from your parents, and wear clothing that you don't mind getting dirty.  Please stop by Ms. Anderson's room to pick up a permission slip if you did not already get one.  You will need to board the late bus or get picked up at the high school after the Builders Club meeting.

Girl's Softball:  Girls trying out for Softball today should report to the cafeteria at dismissal.  Tryouts will be held in the C gym.  Please arrange for a ride home at 5:00 from the C gym at the Intermediate building.
