Today is a D day


The first Student Government meeting of this school year will be held today after school in the Library.  If you are planning to attend, please plan to take the 3:15 bus home or have a ride pick you up at 3:15.


The Middle School Tech Crew is looking for 6th, 7th and 8th grade students who are interested in the audio/visual areas to help out with the band and chorus concerts, auditorium set-up, assemblies and the spring drama production.  If you are interested, please come to an informational meeting tomorrow after school with Mrs. Ferguson in room 210.  Former members must attend if you want to be part of Tech Crew again this year!   Parent pick up is at 3:15 or you may take the 3:15 bus home.  

The first Builders Club meeting of this school year will be tomorrow after school in the library.  Be ready to take the 3:15 bus home or have your ride pick you up no later than 3:15. 


The first meeting of the American Legion Kids Club will be Thursday, September 29th after school in room 215 until 3:15.  All are welcome to come and see what it is all about.  You must take the 3:15 bus home or have your ride here to pick you up by 3:15. 


The first Pet Club meeting for all 6th, 7th and 8th grade students is scheduled for Wednesday, October 5th after school .  All interested members need to stop by room 227 to pick up an enrollment form to have a parent/guardian sign and return to Mrs. Sicina in room 227.  This must be done BEFORE October 5th!

Today is a B day


Tonight is the Minisink Valley Varsity Football Team's Homecoming game vs. Warwick.  Come out to support the Minisink Warriors!  Remember, all Middle School students must be accompanied by a parent/guardian to be admitted to the football game.

Reminder:  There will be an early dismissal drill today.  All students MUST leave campus at dismissal, which will be 15 minutes early. 


Any 7th or 8th grade boy who has competitive swimming or diving experience who would like to try out for this year's Varsity swim team should plan to meet with Coach Golden on Friday, September 23 during your lunch period for a very important informational meeting.

If you are interested in trying out for jazz band please see Ms. Shafer for information and music.  You may audition on any instrument you play in band as well as piano, guitar and bass if you play them outside of school.  You may also audition even if you are not in band, but play an instrument outside of school.


There will be a home football game tomorrow night, September 16th.  Please come out to support the Minisink Valley Warriors against Kingston!!  As a reminder, Middle School students must be accompanied by an adult to all football games, or they will not be permitted to attend.

This afternoon, Modified Boys Soccer will practice until 4 pm.  Soccer players should arrange for a ride to pick them up at 4 pm.

There is NO practice today for Modified Girls' soccer.

Modified Volleyball tryouts will take place today until 4 pm.  Players must make sure they have a ride here no later than 4 pm at the back of the cafeteria.

Modified Volleball practice is CANCELLED today due to the heat.  Be ready to practice tomorrow until 4 pm.


Modified JV Girls Soccer will have practice from 2:30 - 3:30 today.

The Middle School schedule is amended for the first two days of the school year to accommodate Home Base periods at the beginning of the day.
