Today is a B day


Student Government will be hosting a Holiday Dance tonight from 6:00 - 8:00 pm.  Dance tickets will be sold only during lunch periods today and tomorrow.  Tickets are $5 each and must be purchased at school and brought home for a parent/guardian signature to be admitted to the dance.  NO dance tickets will be sold at the door! Refreshments can be purchased at the concession stands at the dance.  PLEASE BRING SMALL BILLS FOR PURCHASING REFRESHMENTS.

The annual Pet Club re-gifting sale will be  held this year on Wednesday December 14th during lunch periods.  Gifts will range from $.05 to $5.00.  All proceeds go towards supplies needed for the critters in the Pet Club!

Today is an A day



There will be a meeting of the American Legion Kids Club after school today in room 215 until 3:15. 


Today's Drama Rehearsal is for Full Cast ONLY - no crew members need to stay today.  Rehearsal will end at 5 today.  Cast members should meet Ms. M following dismissal outside of the auditorium.

The Chess Team will meet today after school in room 208 until 3:15.  We will be starting our in-school chess competition.  Members should be prepared to play two to three matches.  You may take the 3:15 bus home.

 
Builders Club will meet today at dismissal in the Library.  Please be prepared to take the 3:15 bus home or to be picked up promptly at 3:15.


There will be a meeting of the American Legion Kids Club after school on Thursday December 8th in room 215 until 3:15.  We will have a guest speaker and remember to bring your items for the soldier packages.

Drama auditions will be held today only for students who have been requested to attend callback auditions for Singing in the Rain, Jr.   Please meet Ms. M outside the Band Room immediately after dismissal.  Students should have a ride here to pick them up at 5:00 today.

There will be no girls modified basketball practice today.  The next practice will be Monday November 21 in the Intermediate A Gym.  Meet in the Middle School cafeteria at the end of the day and wait to meet your coach.

Today is a B day

 
Reminder:  The Minisink Middle School GSA will NOT be meeting today.


The Jr. Math Team will meet today in Chester.  Math Team members need to be picked up at 6:30 pm in front of the Minisink Valley Middle School.  The next practice for the Jr. Math Team will be after school on Thursday, November 3.


The Chess Team will meet tomorrow, November 2, after school in room 208 until 3:15.  Please arrange for your ride to pick you up by 3:15 or take the 3:15 bus home.

There will be a Pet Club meeting after school tomorrow for 6th, 7th and 8th grade students in room 227.  Plan to take the 3:15 bus home OR have your ride here to pick you up no later than 3:10. 

 

Student Government will sponsor a HATS ON DAY on Friday, November 4th.  Purchase a sticker for $1 on Thursday during lunch and you must keep the sticker on your hat all day on Friday in order to wear it in school.  All money collected helps support Leukemia research.

Student Government will be hosting a school dance on Friday, October 28th from 6 - 8 pm at the Middle School.  Students from all grades who attend the Minisink Valley Middle School are invited to attend.  Tickets will be on sale during lunch periods  Friday 10/28.  Each ticket is $5 and must be purchased in school.  Tickets are NOT sold at the door. Tickets must be brought home and signed by a parent/guardian for a student to be admitted to the dance.  Refreshments will be available for purchase at the dance, please bring small bills for the concession stand.  Costumes are welcomed at this dance, but not required - the same guidelines as those for Halloween day (see above) must be followed.

Today is a D day



The first Pet Club meeting for all 6th, 7th and 8th grade students is scheduled for Wednesday, October 5th after school .  All interested members need to stop by room 227 to pick up an enrollment form to have a parent/guardian sign and return to Mrs. Sicina in room 227.  This must be done BEFORE October 5th!  Please arrange for a ride to pick you up by 3:15 or plan to take the 3:15 bus home.

Tonight is the Minisink Valley Varsity Football Team's Homecoming game vs. Warwick.  Come out to support the Minisink Warriors!  Remember, all Middle School students must be accompanied by a parent/guardian to be admitted to the football game.

Any 7th or 8th grade boy who has competitive swimming or diving experience who would like to try out for this year's Varsity swim team should plan to meet with Coach Golden on Friday, September 23 during your lunch period for a very important informational meeting.

There will be a home football game tomorrow night, September 16th.  Please come out to support the Minisink Valley Warriors against Kingston!!  As a reminder, Middle School students must be accompanied by an adult to all football games, or they will not be permitted to attend.

This afternoon, Modified Boys Soccer will practice until 4 pm.  Soccer players should arrange for a ride to pick them up at 4 pm.

There is NO practice today for Modified Girls' soccer.
