Mary P. Bonen Otisville Elementrary School History

The Mary P. Bonen Otisville Elementary School is a community school located in the town of Mount Hope near Otisville, New York.  It is part of the larger Minisink Valley Central School District, and is comprised of grades Kindergarten through fifth grade. 

The Otisville School Building was finished in the summer of 2008.  The focal point of the building is its Library/Media center filled with natural light from floor to ceiling windows.  A state of the art computer lab overlooks the Library/Media center.  Each classroom is equipped with Smartboards and projectors.  Green technologies such as light sensors and insulated glass contributes to the energy efficiency of the building. 

The Otisville Elementary School strives to be a nurturing, learner-centered community school that focuses on the development of the whole child via: cultivating each child's love of learning; supporting collaborative faculty and staff professional development and endeavors; establishing effective home/school partnerships.
