NINE BOYS VARISTY BASEBALL PLAYERS HONORED AT ANNUAL SENIOR RECOGNITION DAY


The Minisink Valley varsity boy’s baseball team recognized nine team members who are graduating next month during its annual Senior Recognition Day, held prior to its game against Port Jervis, on May 17.   

 

 The seniors and their families were introduced and recognized for their many contributions to the team, which included announcing where they will be attending college in the fall. Coach Dave Benedetto also presented floral bouquets to each player’s mother.  

 

Congratulations to the nine seniors who have made significant contributions to the varsity team:

 

Payton Briecke, #1, left fielder, who will be attending SUNY Cortland.

 

Chis Bruschi, #23, pitcher/first baseman, who will be attending Utica College.  

 

Gage Dombal, #6, pitcher/second baseman, who will be attending High Point University.

 

Kyle Eilert, #14, right fielder, who will be attending Orange Community College.

 

Ryan Johanson, #5, pitcher/shortstop, who will be attending SUNY Cortland.

 

Connor Lofrese, #2, centerfielder, who will be attending SUNY Cortland.

 

Alex Martin, #16, catcher, who will be attending SUNY Orange.

 

Kevin O’Brien, #21, right fielder/designated hitter, who will be attending East Stroudsburg University.

 

Nick Ortiz, #4, first baseman, who will be attending Orange Community College.

 

“Thank you again for all the excitement and great baseball experiences we have shared,” said Athletic Director Tim Bult. “We wish you the best of luck next year.”
