Nine elementary students honored with NYS AHPERD leadership awards

Congratulations to the nine district elementary students who were among 82 students honored with leadership awards during a New York State Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance (NYS AHPERD) Catskill Zone ceremony held on May 11 at the high school.

The honored students were nominated by their teachers for outstanding character and performance in the physical education setting by demonstrating responsible personal and social behavior, sportsmanship and citizenship; showing a desire to learn and improve; exhibiting a physical active lifestyle; demonstrating leadership and being a positive influence with their peers; and contributing toward their total school program.

These qualities have enabled them to become leaders and positively impact their schools.
