“The High School Bands typically travel near the end of each school year to perform at a music festival for trained adjudicators,” said music teacher Joseph Horner. “We’re very proud of their performances and this is a great opportunity for us because the comments we receive highlight things that were performed well as well as suggestions for improving our playing and musicianship.”

The Trills and Thrills Music Festival is a motivational, one-day music festival for students and music directors. Adjudicators are comprised of former music educators familiar with the abilities of school-aged musicians.

The adjudicators provided each ensemble with recorded and written comments, giving the music directors and students constructive and valuable feedback on musical strengths, as well as considerations and recommendations for further developing and enhancing their skills and abilities.

The festival concluded with students celebrating their success at Dorney Park.
