To be as transparent as possible, we wish to advise you of the May 20 arrest of a Transportation Department bus monitor.
The district received the complaint on May 16. Immediately, the district notified law enforcement, which launched its own immediate investigation, in conjunction with the district, on that same date. This individual was placed on administrative leave as soon as the district received the complaint.
Because of this rapid and sensitive nature of this investigation, we were not able to share any details until now.
This alleged incident is now under the jurisdiction of the New York State Police. Because of strict FERPA guidelines and other laws governing confidentiality, we cannot and will not discuss any details of this investigation or the parties involved at this time.
