Tickets are now on sale for the Intermediate School Drama Club’s production of Elf Jr, with performances on Wednesday, Dec. 8 and Thursday, Dec. 9, both at 7 p.m.
The show is the story of Buddy, a young orphan, who mistakenly crawls into Santa’s bag of gifts and is transported to the North Pole.
The would-be elf is raised, unaware that he is actually a human, until his enormous size and poor toy-making abilities cause him to face the truth.
The production features a cast and crew of 51 Intermediate School students plus 25 high school students providing theatrical guidance.
“It’s a long-standing tradition for the Minisink Valley high school drama students to work with our Intermediate school students, making this a purely student run and produced show,” said director Laura Hulle. “From the props and set pieces to the staging and choreography, our students are happy all the time being back on the IS stage again!”
She added: “Our teacher mentor team is so incredibly proud of the work our high school and Intermediate students have done the past few weeks. There is nothing better than being together to collaborate, create, inspire, and most importantly perform!”
