During the presentation, the BMX athletes impressed students with their gravity-defying bike stunts, while blending in these motivation messages while also talking about having big goals and dreams, the importance of having allies, finding what drives you and never quitting.bmx-er flipping their bike in the air

“It was a captivating and exciting assembly for our students,” said Principal Michael Larsen. “Students saw what hard work, persistence and determination looks like as our BMX presenters demonstrated their skills. Both presenters shared the importance of completing schoolwork, doing your best, establishing goals and chasing your dreams.  They also reinforced the importance of being kind to one another.  It was a really fun experience for our students accompanied by a very important message about being successful. We feel our students heard their message loud and clear.”

BMX bikers performed amazing tricks that sent them high in the air, wowing cheering students, faculty and administrators.

BMX tricks, also known as stunts, are maneuvers performed on BMX bikes. BMX tricks can be performed on any type of terrain, but are most commonly done on dirt jumps, quarter pipes, and ramps. In BMX Freestyle, riders perform routines consisting of sequences of tricks carried out on flat ground, in the streets, on dirt jumps, a halfpipe and/or on constructed ramps. In competition, riders are judged on the quality of their performance. BMX Freestyle competition appeared in its first Olympic Games in 2021 in Tokyo.

The assemblies featured special stunts featuring teachers and security staff who goodnaturedly participated to the delight and cheers of students and staff.

“We really appreciate the involvement of our staff,” Principal Larsen added. “This reinforces the school’s  critical support of the important messaging our BMX guests stressed to our students.”
