Senior Alexis DeBeauvernet has been selected for the New York State School Music Association (NYSSMA) All-State Treble Choir.
This ensemble is composed of the top performing students from all over New York State. She and her peers will perform at the NYSSMA Conference in Rochester in early December.
Alexis' selection was based on her NYSSMA solo performance this past spring, where she earned a perfect 100 score. Scoring was based upon elements including, posture, breath control, phrasing, diction, musical expression and sight-reading.
"Alexis is an incredibly dedicated, hard working student, with a great passion for music," said High School Choir Director Danielle Cornacchio. "This honor is well-deserved, and I am so proud of her for all she has accomplished, and will continue to accomplish."
