Senior Alexis DeBeauvernet has been named to the NAfME All-Eastern Treble Choir, which is a select group of treble voices from the Northeastern United States. The choir will perform at the National Association for Music Education (NAfME) conference in Hartford, Conn from April 24 to 27.
"This is an incredible opportunity and is a result of her drive, passion, and hard work," said High School Choir Director Danielle Estrada. "Alexis was selected for the NYSSMA All-State Treble Choir this past December, which made her eligible for selection to the All-Eastern Treble Choir. Only approximately 120 students are chosen each year for the Treble Choir. Alexis is an incredibly dedicated student who is planning to pursue music education in college. This is a very well deserved opportunity/experience for her."
The All-Eastern Choirs are comprised of students from Connecticut, Delaware, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, and Washington D.C.
